JOB TITLE: SAP BI BW Developer
LOCATION: Ohio
PAY RANGE: Open		 JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is looking for a SAP BI Developer to design, build, test, implement and maintain their BW solution. This position will perform complex analysis and configuration of the BW/BI data environment to facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions specifically for CRM. The SAP BI Developer will perform backend design, construction and unit testing of backend components: ODS, Transactional, InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transfer Rules, User Exits, Update Rules. The SAP BI Developer must also have the ability to define ETL processes, create reports from Info Providers, and develop extractor enhancements. This position is part of the internal BI Support Team, as well as a participant on BI implementation projects.

Respnsibilties:

  • Maintenance and enhancements of existing BW/BI environment, implementing SAP BW/BI reporting needs in a long term, multi-phase rollout that includes blueprinting, realization, go-live and support.
  • Ability to understand requirements, create technical designs and implement BW solutions.
  • Work with Business Analysts and Business Users to identify BW/BI user requirements, reporting design enhancements and functionality required for initial reporting implementations and support.
  • Responsible for Technical BW solution design specifications followed by writing corresponding Detailed Design Specifications.
  • Work with Tech Support Team to size, capacity planning, monitor performance, tune and research performance issues.
  • Oversee extraction data from legacy systems.
  • Define data dependencies and priorities.
  • Implement BW functionality to stage, store, and present information.
  • Manage and organize BW transports between systems.
  • Manage BW testing and validation.
  • Track and resolve BW issues.
  • Participate in establishing Corporate BI Strategy.
  • Act as first contact for aid in resolution of BW issues.
  • Coordinate communication between BW and user community.
  • Provide escalation of business issues and facilitate decision making.
  • Aid in the testing of BW to ensure that it matches requirements.
  • Identify data sources in OLTP, define and start ETL processes.
  • Code or coordinate coding of ABAP to complete design where necessary.
  • Verify data quality and ensure BW is in sync with source systems.

Candidates Must Have:
  • SAP BI/BW 3.5 or greater.
  • At least 2 years of experience in SAP ECC 6.0 functionality.
  • Experienced in implementing solutions using BW and BEx.
