Pay Range: $65,000 - $145,000

Our client provides investment management, retail and commercial banking, consumer finance and investment banking products to individuals and companies throughout the United States and internationally. These are full time positions and they are 100% fully remote. The Model Risk Quantitative Analytics Senior Associate will conduct independent validations of our client’s high impact models (e.g. CECL, Credit Risk Rating, AML etc.) in compliance with regulatory and our client’s model validation policies and guidelines. The person in this role will be viewed as a deep subject matter expert with a highly specialized skill set. The position requires a strong quantitative background.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review and challenge the conceptual framework, assumptions, technical soundness and fit-for-use of developed high impact models
  • Assess model performance through rigid statistical/quantitative analyses of the model outcomes
  • Verify the correct model implementation through review or replication
  • Assess model risks/limitations and the adequacy of model ongoing monitoring/maintenance
  • Verify the model has been properly documented
  • Document the validation procedures and results
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior model validators
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field with advanced knowledge of statistics, mathematics and financial modeling
  • 2+ years of model development or model validation experience in high impact models (e.g. CECL, Credit Risk Rating, AML, etc.)
  • 5+ years of model development or model validation experience preferred
  • 2+ years of working experience with SAS, SQL, Python, or R, with hands-on experience in developing or validating various Machine Learning (ML) algorithms for solving real-world problems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment in collaboration with other team members and external consulting firms
